My 5 Essentials: All You Need for Quick, Easy Skin Care

Taking care of your skin doesn’t have to be overwhelming or stressful. In fact, one of the reasons I keep the essentials I do is because one of my main goals in life is to make it as simple as possible. The reality is that most products we use are just extra fillers and fun that supplement the things we really need or to try something new. But if you’re looking for basics that cover all your needs. Here are the ones I keep in my shower whether travelling or on the road.

1.      Exfoliation Gloves

Ever since finding exfoliation gloves a few years ago, I have never looked back. I’ve tried loofahs, shower sponges and of course, the good ole fashion wash cloth, but nothing makes me feel as smooth and clean as exfoliation gloves.

Exfoliating gloves actively slough away dead skin, revealing brighter, smoother skin beneath and help prevent ingrown hairs.

They also improve blood circulation by stimulating blood flow, which helps the body move and flush toxins more efficiently.

2.      Facial Brush

Facial brushes work similarly but have the added benefit of helping to break up dark heads and diminish pores in the skin. The brushes I love most usually have three attachments: Soft Brush attachment for gentle cleansing, Silicone attachment for dry and sensitive skin, and a medium-bristled Exfoliating Brush for deep cleaning.

What’s additionally nice about having the three attachments is that all of our skin goes through changes depending on season and hormones. Being able to interchange them as needed prevents unintentional damage to the skin through over or under-brushing.

3.      Daily Facial Cleanser

Facial cleansing is vital to caring for your skin long term. Cleansing breaks up residue in the pores, clears away dead skin and helps to boost blood flow to the face to give you that glowing skin look.

The Glow Up Daily Facial Cleanser is formulated particularly for sensitive skin and incorporates Kaolin Clay for a gentle, micro-exfoliant that also draws toxins from the pores. Rose Oil is added to the cleanser as an anti-bacterial that also helps reduce redness.

4.      Daily Facial Moisturizer

A Daily Facial Moisturizer helps reduce the chance of developing extreme dryness or oiliness, which can cause issues like acne. While most people suggest moisturizing twice daily, I always tell my clients to do what works best for your skin. If you feel moisturizing twice a day is too much for your skin, then don’t force it! At the end of the day, listening to our bodies is the best thing we can do for ourselves.

5.      Body Moisturizer

With body moisturizers we’re looking for just that: moisture, moisture, moisture! Being the body’s largest organ, we need to make sure the skin is hydrated as much as possible, which will help with long-term prevention of wrinkles and help to diminish rough patches.

In addition, Body Moisturizers help with anti-aging, softening the skin and reducing blemishes.
